javax.microedition.amms.control.camera - cannot find symbol

i want to find the supported resolution for capturing videos using camera. the phone i am using is Nokia N96. based on the the example provided in this link : http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...s_from_Java_ME, one needs to use javax.microedition.amms.control.camera.

however, from compiler says it cannot find the symbol. how do i solve this?

If you are using sun emulator you can select it by

Project -> Settings -> API Selection -> Target Platform -JTWI -> Select JSR 234.

i am looking for video resolution format. from the example link,i can find the video resolution format using getSupportedVideoResolutions() (which is method under javax.microedition.amms.control.camera).i am using netbeans as IDE, can you tell me how do i load javax.microedition.amms. package into netbeans.

That you can do it

1. In Project properties -> Go to Build -> Libraries & Resources
2. Add Jar/Zip.. jsr234.jsr from C:\WTK2.5.1\lib\ folder

You need SUN WTK 2.5.1 to add that JSR 234 file.

Start using JSR 234.

The JSR 234 is for audio3d and music. Thus, is for checking resolution is supported for N96?

The example in the link you posted uses only the Manager class from the media API, it doesn't use JSR234.

No, on the N96, JSR234 is only supported for audio, not for camera.
