    Hi there,

I have an app (IDE netbeans sdk S60 5th edition) and need to get it verified by Java before it can be sold at OVI apparently.

Does anyone have an idea as to how much this would cost? I have seen some threads on this Java verification issue and it is really not that encouraging ! I hope they have gotten things streamlined over there..

Much obliged in advance for any help anyone can provide in this context.

    Aleks

You can go with Java Verified, but that sucks as you have to pay for each release. I don't think many people go that way.
Alternative is Thawte or Verisign, both at hundreds of dollars per year, but at least you get to keep the actual certificate yourself and sign at your will.

    Dear publisher,
Thanks for your requests. Java verified, verisign and Thawte are the 3 options of signing for Java. You can find the information below:
    http://javaverified.com/
    http://www.thawte.com/
    http://www.verisign.com/

Regarding the price, please refer to the website above.

Please note that verisign does not work with S40 5th edition and S40 5th edition FP1 while thawte certificate does not work with device 5320, 6210 and 6650. Java verified does not have these limitations.

    Regards,
