Hi,
I have return midlets to process some data ..
I want to know the power consumption to process data..??
is there any links/doc to calculte power cosumption by using some Eqn for nokia phone..?

There is no calculation... it would be different for different devices. You might be able to use the Nokia Energy Profiler, though this works on Series 60 devices only. I think it works for Java apps as well as Symbian apps, but I'm not sure, I've never tried it.

Grahm is correct indeed and the consumption will totally depend on the device.Again I have a guess that on S40 it will be lesser then the S60 devices due to the utilities/programms running on the device at the same time.

actually afaik the Energy profiler only works on S60, after all it needs a multitasking OS...

I wonder if you could get the same in Java ME, rather you should try in Symbian C++.

I think the Nokia Energy Profiler requires S60 3rd, and the 6681 is S60 2nd, so it won't work. You'd need to ask over at the Symbian forum if there are any other tools.

Or, fully charge your battery, and use your app until it's, say, half empty (or half full, if you're that kind of guy), and time how long it took.
