I was wondering if it's possible to restrict (f.e., with password) the access to game folders, app folders, contact folders, etc., on nokia S60 devices (5500, 5530, N97).

Welcome to the Forum Nokia Developer Discussion Boards,
frcc as you know that to protect the folders what you are talking about will be the OS level access restrictions. I wonder if you can implement the same using the Java ME, or even if the in Symbian.
However I would suggest you one thing that you ask the same in symbian DIBO.
