Suggestion for code signing certificate

Hello,

I have J2ME midlet to be signed and ported on several Nokia devices.

I understand from the link- http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...curity_Domains that we can either go with Thwate/Verisign OR JAVA-Verified process.

We are thinking of buying Thwate code signing certificate. Before buying, I would request below feedback from those who already have purchased certicate for code signing of their j2me apps.

1. Which certificate to buy that will work on almost all devices?

2. Can we use Thwate certificate for all Nokia devices without any issues?

3. Some people reported issue with Thwate root certificate being not available on some nokia devices. Is this true? Do we have workaround for this issue?

Stay away from signing, if possible. As you can find via a search, there is no answer for your question. Have a look how Opera Mini does this … they went for Thawte + VeriSign and still offer the unsigned variant, too. Why not going for Java Verified?
