    I tried to install the SDK and Carbide C++ on Windows7-64Bit. It generates a file which runs with the emulator, but a build for the phone is not running.
    I reed that also the newest versions of Carbide need exactly version 5.6.1-635 of ActivePerl. But it is not available any longer, all Links in the boards are broken and a search in the internet was also not successfully.

    - Can anybody tell me whats wrong when I use the newest version of ActivePerl oder StrawberryPerl? Of course I installed the newest version (look problem above).
    - Where can I get ActivePer 5.6.1-635 and has anybody experience using it in Windows7?

    Thank you for helping

    Active Perl is a dependency for the SDK toolchain and not for the IDE. See http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...d.php?t=192879 and if indeed you are facing problems related to SDK's Perl scripts please post details about them in that thread.

    I think you should have a hotmail account to download from the link that Taz has provided.

    An almost original source: Internet Archive (http://www.archive.org) happens to store content from http://downloads.activestate.com - the download site of ActiveState. Active Perl 5.6.1 635 was available for a long time (2005-2009), so most snapshots will contain it.
    The site is extremely slow, it is normal to have 10-15 minute breaks between clicks and results while navigating. Since the actual files are not in the root, finding them may require up to 30-50 minutes. Feel free to Donate them in order to get things faster. So here is a direct link: http://web.archive.org/web/200503150...SWin32-x86.msi (it is still normal if nothing happens for a really long time after clicking on the link).

    Hi,

    That was available until the end of 2010. Now you can get the one from Archive.org, or you can find one in the Symbian^3 SDK. Just the SDK is 750 megabytes.

    If it is so urgent, you might have considered using the link in #7. The site is slow, if the request times out for the first time, simply try again.

    Install it, and make sure that Windows' %PATH% gets updated to include c:\Perl\bin;
