downloading video from server.

I from few discussion i come to know that HTTP streaming is not possible.

so nwo whats my question is do we able to download certain portion of a video from server and we will play it ,in the meantime time i need to download next portion and clear the previously played one.

please tell me is it possible if so, how please explain it to?

this is not possible because in first chunk having codec and other information. so if you remove previous chunk it loss all the thing related to that video.

You would need to split your video into small, separate video clips, so that each is playable on its own.

there must be some different way available throught i can get the video to be played (throught HTTP)in my device..
