Launchapp with cmdline

Hi everybody,

I'm trying to launch an application from my widget and to pass one parameter to it. However, the application always displays that there are no parameters in command line. I've tried to use both widget.openApplication and serviceObj.IAppManager.LaunchApp, with the same result. Could somebody give me a working example of javascript code?

I would first check the applications side you are launching, and see that you are actually also trying to get the filename passed to it etc.

I'm trying to check if my C++ application works, so far I can tell it does work when I start it as an .exe with parameters, but I'm not sure if it can read parameters when invoked from launchapp.

BTW, maybe there are some other, easier ways to pass information from widget to a C++ program?

Hi uhm57,

a way to check if your C++ app correctly receives and parse command-line parameters would be to log them somewhere (e.g.: by writing them to a file on the local filesystem).
