Nokia 1680 Classic

I have a problem typing on the Nokia 1680 Classic. If I don't type quickly enough the screen becomes gray (within a few seconds). This can be solved of course by typing an (unwanted) letter or number which makes the screen available again. But I would like to have a pause that is a bit longer before the screen becomes gray so I don't have to hurry typing so much.

Can someone tell me how I do that?
