Why don't init function call?

I am trying to Widget Sample Code. I made sure it that RssReader exam work correctly.
By the way, Accuwidget exam don't work correctly.
I tested that I added to code as onload="init()" on main.html and called alert() on init() function.
Alert() function don't called.
Do you know the reason?

I tried with alert function resently. It is perfectly working. Might be there must be some linkage problem with basic.js file. Check that out. If u r using wrtkit, then use uiManager.ShowNotification() function.
