I using Aptana WRTKit to build a widget.
Most of the widget is self-contained (local WRTKit views with controls), but I do need to load a Google Map on a view when the user selects a specific option.
    How can this be done?

WRTKit does not seem to contain any view object to display a Google Map or even to display a WEB page on a URL. does it?

Some months ago I attended a Webcast where it was shown how easily it was to add mapping functionality to WRT widgets using new Ovi Maps API. I wanted to use that option, but it seems to be unavailable yet. I am trying to find the webcast again. Does anyone know about this?

    hi,

If you are trying to load a webpage on our widget. Than you can use html tags for that. as it would be very simpler to implement. You can checkit out with this option

This is a widget using WRTKit views. There is a "ContentPanel" view object in WRTKit framework, but I am now sure if it can be used to display a Google Map. I will try that.
