N73 Python 2.0.0 "check if the following components are installed"

My N73 has the latest firmware ( upgraded March 2010 ) and I have just downloaded and installed the following from https://garage.maemo.org/frs/?group_id=854


pips.sis
stdioserver.sis
Python_2.0.0.sis
PythonScriptShell_2.0.0_high_capas.sis


All installed successfully. No problems in that order.

Running Python 2.0.0 in the applications menu of the phone:

"Check if the following components are installed:
Python Runtime
PIPS Library"

Trying to install these other shells:
PythonScriptShell_2.0.0_3_2.sis
PythonScriptShell_2.0.0_3_2.sis

They install fine... however I received the same error message when I try to run them. Any ideas?

Seems <-1.9.6->prior 2.0.0 like no problems.

Have a look at here:

hello all

i faced the similar problem with my N95 8gb i guess S60 3rd edition, for the first time i tried to just over write the PyS60 1.9.7 release with PyS60 2.0.0 and got the same message.

then i removed everything related to PyS60 1.9.x release and tried again and that worked for me can you try that??

I did a full phone reset ( *#7370# ) and installed all from scratch. Should that have worked? Any other ideas?

Maveric, are you saying that 1.9.6 is the last version to run on the N73? Thanks for the clarification

Trying to get pys60 1.9.6 running instead so downloaded PythonForS60_1.9.6.exe, uninstalled python 2.0, installed:

pips.sisx
PythonScriptShell_1.9.6_3_0.sis
Python_1.9.6_fixed.sis
ssl_nokia_1_5_1.SIS
stdioserver_nokia_1_5_1_SS.sis

Everything installed without problems. The shell runs fine. My third-party Python applications run as well.
