Symbian^3 compatibility with Symbian^1 apps...

do you know if apps written for Symbian^1 will run ok also on Symbian^3?

You may be sure that Symbian^3 will support Symbian C++, and that it will have the needed wrappers to support the JavaME solution licensed by manufacturers. Symbian Foundation does not have an open source Java ME implementation to offer.
