Fixed Mobile convergence (FMC) information

I’m working on a research on Fixed Mobile Convergence for a company.
I have several questions regard this technology:
1) What are the pros and cons when implement this technology?
2) When implement this technology how many centrals do you need?
3) The security for this technology for example when the cellular switch on the Wi-Fi system how fragile it is against hijacks?
