Uninstall v2.3; install v2.4. Still meet problem "C/C++ indexer encountered a problem. A internal error..." repeatedly.
Also meet problem "Jave heap error..." when using v2.4 time to time.
Make me so exhausted!

Actually you could try upgrading further, since 2.5 is also out for months by now.
I install Carbide C++ V 2.4.
It gets lots of errors "Java heap space"; especially when checking C++ index for large CPP file.
The error description is like following:
Java heap space:
Compacting memory
error while parsing XXX.cpp
Unhandled event loop exception...
Then it asks me to exit Carbide C++:
An internal error occurred while showing an internal error.
You are recommended to exit the workbench. ......
Do you want to exit the workbench?
Could any expect to give me help for these errors?
Also meet error repeatedly : An internal error occurred during: "Update monitor"
stonejustek,
Carbide.c++ 2.4 is not available as an installer so I assume you installed Carbide.c++ v2.3 then updated it to version 2.4. So now the questions could be:
- did version 2.3 work for you before the update?
- does your system meet the system requirements? (Enough RAM to begin with.)
- have you changed the settings for automatic update check?

I install Product Development Toolkit 1.6 (PDT)
http://developer.symbian.org/main/to....php?id=9&vId=
It includes Carbide C++ v2.4.
1.Meet these problems for Carbide C++ 2.3 (Product Development Toolkit 1.5).
So I install the latest Carbide C++ V2.4 to try to solve these problems.
2.My laptop is IBM T400; CPU 2.8G and 2G RAM memory; should fit for the system requirement.
3.I uninstall PDT 1.5; then install PDT 1.6.
So don't have business with automatic update check.
Thank you for the feedback.
