    Hi all

I downloaded QT a couple of weeks ago, then found a video where I need to download multiple other applications such as Carbide C++ Active Perl, S60 Plafrom SDK, Open C/C++ Application TRK and QT.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sh58z-goVn4

Something messed up with installation and debug and released dont work. So I am going to re-install. I think it is because I installed in the wrong order with multiple QTs.

but now I seen the new Nokia QT SDK Beta.
    http://www.forum.nokia.com/Tools_Doc.../Nokia_Qt_SDK/

Or do I still need the other applications.
    I am sooo confused now.

    Hi,
Nokia Qt SDK beta is done exactly for the purpose that you described : to avoid multiple installations.

There's Qt Creator IDE, symbian SDK, Maemo 5 SDK and a tool called simulator all in one package. No other installations needed.

So for getting started Nokia Qt SDK is the easiest and recommended one to use.

    Cheers,
    Jack

Excellent, thanks for the quick reply.

I am currently downloading QT SDK and un-installing the half the apps I installed before.

I don't blame you for getting confused -- it seems like the "preferred" configuration changes weekly (if not more often). But the new all-in-one Qt Beta looks to be the best game in town right now.
