    Hello,

    I am working on a N900 camera application and noticed that the native camera app has a better auto-focus than the one provided by the gstreamer photography. My guess is the native camera app is implemented with GTK libraries and gstreamer. Therefore, how does it achieve the better auto-focusing performance? The better performance can be noted while focusing on objects at distances between 600 and 1200 mm.

    N900's camera is using camerabin element, which implements GstPhotography interface. A wrapper library is an open source:
