Calculator Missing in Nokia 2700 Classic

Hi,

Yesterday I have seen a problem in Nokia 2700 Classic. Uncertainly the calculator alone was missing from the organisor. We couldn't bring back the calculator; so finally I went to update the firmware from 7.45 to 9.95. It has been updated successfully, however we couldn't find the calculator.

I hope you're the guys can answer for this!

That is a common Nokia Series 40 issue. Therefore, just search for ‘Calculator’ or ‘Calc’ on Nokia Discussions.

However, the solution is always the same: If the Nokia Software-Updater (NSU) does not help, you have to go to a care point and let them reflash the complete software (which includes the content pack not included in NSU for some older models). Another option is to download another calculator (for example from Ovi Store). Another option is to download the original calculator. Another option is to extract the calculator with the help of (the non-demo variant of) MobiMB because the calculator itself is still there, however, the link to the Organizer menu got lost. Until today, I am not aware what breaks exactly. If you or someone else knows (one day), I would be happy to read about it.

Anyway, such a question should be discussed with the end-user support channels of Nokia because this website is all about developers.

The 2700 classic (http://www.forum.nokia.com/Devices/D.../2700_classic/) is a Series 40 device. Suggesting S60 applications will not help.

In essence, this is the same calculator application that is pre-installed in several Nokia phones based on Series 40. The purpose of this beta trial is to evaluate whether or not to replace the standard S60 calculator with the one used in Series 40

Glad to know you found your calc app and you posted that on a thread which is almost 3 year old and started in 2010.
FYI, you can also find such apps in Nokia Store.
