6700 Slide + WH-701 headset

Hi all,

I'm about to buy a Nokia 6700 Slide. It'll be used for music a lot, so I'll need a proper headset. So I have a problem... That 2.5mm audio jack the phone has.
I could get a simple 2.5mm headset, but I don't want simple. I'd rather like that WH-701 that nokia's site offers as compatible for this phone. But that one has a 3.5mm jack. AD-52 adapter is in the package, so it SHOULD work. But will it?
I bet it will "conduct" sound, but will all the headset's commands work? It's got a bunch of buttons on it, and I'd rather like to use them

Help anyone?
