Hi!
GSM Roaming -- > Gsm coverage maps --> (Select a country) --> Network information --> Network Code
OR
Try Google with "MMC MNC"
It's not THAT hard...

Hi,
Instead of searching all over the operators in a country for their coverage and getting network code (MNC), why cant we find MNC from number itself?
Is there any method to do so?
AVINASH
Hey i think it can be done...

hi guys,
I think if your phone number is of 10 digit then 3/4 th digit gives you the MNC
Mine is 9886186148
And the MNC is 86!!!

Hi!
That's not the case. MNC is MSISDN independent.

Hi,
Yes you are right. It does not work.
But plz let me know whether i will have to hard code MMC and MNC values for all operators and their operating areas in my program?
There has to be some way to find the MNC code for any cell number. can u plz help to explore it?

Hi!
In some areas, area code tells you the operator. But this is not the case in general. Subscriber can have his/her number in any network in Europe and US. So only way to implement this is to ask user his/her operator and hardcode the appropriate MNC and MCC to your software.
