convert .jpg to .mbm issue

Hello i use command prompt to convert .jpg to .mbm formate on same folder like as source
C:\mbm formate\croped images in jpg formate>bmconv blue1.mbm blue1.jpg

then I find out ..


BMCONV version 112.
Compiling...
Multiple bitmap store type: File stor
Epoc file: blue1.mbm

Bitmap file 1 : blue1.jpg
Bad source file(s).


Now i want to know weather my .jpg file is convert or not actully i got one blue1.mbm file in the same folder .but command line promp said that also

Bad source file(s).

that make confuse me to think weather my converter is not correct but why not correct i do'nt understand so please Any one help me to solve out this problem...thank you very much in advance.

You need to provide bmp source only. It will not take jpg or any other format.

You convert it to .bmp first (even Paint/brush is capable of loading a .jpg and saving it as a .bmp), then use bmconv.

It is simple right. The tool only takes bmp, so convert any other format file to bmp and then create mbm.

Use GIMP.
Open the file.

Save as, BMP.

Well you can do it on any image editor or the default Paint application.
