FileConnection API not working in nokia 6275

Hi

I am developing a general j2me application to read/write a file or create a folder in phone/memory card.

code is as follows not working in nokia 6275 while working in other devices, this device support releated JSR, but not working...

FileConnection fileConnection = (FileConnection)Connector.open(filepath+filename, Connector.READ_WRITE);

On this device what is not actually working?
was there any exception/error/message/alerts displayed to the user?

On which other devices this is working?
Did you check the PDAP demo is it working on the same?

1) I want to simple create a file/folder in phone/memory card using FileConnection
and
2) browse file from C/E drive

in 1) case it is not showing any error but not creating any file/folder too....
in 2) case there is an error java/lang/NullPointerException

I have tested PDAP demo on this CDMA handset..
PDAP demo Start->
FileBrowser -> select -> C:/E: select -> java/lang/SecurityException Access Denied
jsr75 PIM APIs -> select -> (contact lists) select -> (phone) select -> Error

1. You have go to the settings and have to edit the permission of the read/write/edit the user data?
2. Are you sure that the file conenction reference or the path string are not null?

where i have to change in settings...

there is another problem with this handset....
when i install unsigned jar file on other mobile and start application then it ask "read user data" and "write user data" and it can be set allways allowed to read/write user data with change settings and when application is signed......
but in this mobile behavior is changed, this phone does not support signed jar file with verisigned(invalid application). and
when using unsigned jar file then application is not asking for "read user data and write user data".

file connection ref or path string is not null as it is working in E-63, E-71, Sony W705 and so on but not in this CDMA device its working.

Please help.......

Who is the vendor of the device?

when using unsigned jar file then application is not asking for "read user data and write user data".

Try to run any other demo like the web or PIM or any other which ask for the permssion from the user and check the result?
Was the PDAP demo successfully run?

Who is the vendor of the device?
Did you try to find the settings of the pdap demo, sign this and try to change the settings for the same..
This time dont forget to mention the device vendor.

Thanks for your help, there was not a issue in code, there is an option "Application access", i was to change the permission to "add and edit data" there as you was saying to change settings....it is possible only in unsigned it is not supporting signed(verisign) application..

In nokia-6275, I was unable to install signed jad/jar file .
In this mobile when i transfer jad/jar in a folder(say test folder) using data transfer mode from pc to mobile then,
when we open test folder in mobile then there will be installed application not jad and jar file.
as compare to other mobile there is auto installed of j2me application no need to install.

Problem
I want to use FileConnection api to create a file/folder in phone/memory using my application but i was unable cause

Solution
To use FileConnection api using j2me in Nokia-6275, we have to set permission.
before open application go to application icon then click on option->application access-> data access -> add and edit data -> edit this option change it to ask every time .
then aplication will work...
