Can I use an image in the UI designer as a background?

As the title says,can i?If can't;How can I make a image backgroud in the Carbide C++ Gui UI designer program?

As UiDesign only supports very basic twacking of the UI elements. So it is better you code by hand some modifications.

Oh,Are you sure I can't do it like that----------Once again I choose a wrong way.
And Do I use the widget like textbox,lable,button.....image code by hand will fullfil my aim:make the image to be a background,and then put the anothe widget on the background?
Would you or sb give some code about that make the image as the background?A link also Ok.
