    Hi All,

I'm trying to compile the QCamera example downloaded from

    http://www.forum.nokia.com/info/sw.n...a_Example.html

I'm getting error missing files (qcamera.h , qstillimagecapture.h , qvideowidget.h) and after searching the SDK I couldn't found those files.

    Any suggestion will be great.

I have got the same problem with QCamera example too,

The package I am using: Nokia Qt SDK 1.0, Qt 4.6.3 & Mobility API 1.0.1

I tried to build the QCamera example but failed.

The new release of Mobility API does not suppport QCamera???

So is there any other methods for us to preview and capture images using the device camera with Qt?

    Thanks a lot.

    Edwin.

According to this post on the Qt Labs blog, the Camera was pulled and will be back in Qt Mobility 1.1.0 (http://labs.trolltech.com/blogs/2010...y-100-package/).
It seemed to be available in the beta and technology preview versions, so I'm curious to find out if it's possible to get either of them and link against it instead of 1.0.1. Haven't been able to find a packaged version of it yet though. Is it possible to clone a certain Git repository tag and then build either the beta or technology preview versions of Qt Mobility?

Found it at http://qt.gitorious.org/qt-mobility/...ts/1.0.0-beta1. This build contains QCamera in the experimental part of Multimedia.

well....I understand QCamera can be used in 1.0.0-beta1, but how about the Symbian^3 handset that has build-in Qt lib installed already?

Seems we cannot install Qt package for these Qt build-in devices....will got "Update Error" if you try to install Qt mobility into the device...

There are many ways to deal with many problems, except that you have to describe the problem well, and then you will see the solution.
There is no Camera API in Qt Mobility 1.0.2 so you have to use Symbian C++ APIs to access this functionality. The old Mobile Extensions project (can be found in the wiki) has a Camera API implementation so you may try to use that. Or backport the 1.1 implementation.
