    Hello,

Daily I receive emails from Ovi-customers who have reset their phone, or lost the downloaded and installed programs due to other reasons. How can I verify, that these users have really bought a copy through Ovi store?

    Regards,

If you pay for any app you can re download it any time on any phone

I don't need an API. I need a way, so that customers can proove to me that they bought the application in Ovi store, so that I can give them another copy in case of loss as mentioned above.

You don't need to give them another copy, if they are using the same device (even if they reset/reformatted the device, the IMEI is still the same, and if they use the same Ovi Store username, then all that they bought should still be there for them to redownload).

Ovi Store support can also track their purchase, if they've lost (deleted) their electronic receipt (they should be able to track the purchase via phone number, IMEI or credit card).

Of course, it'd still be useful if Ovi Store did provide some info to the publisher/developer, too. Currently, however, you have no way of knowing whether a user bought really bought your stuff or not (that is, Ovi Store is not providing any identifying info/data to the publisher/developer).

From my experience I can install app to multiple phone from my ovi account.
Bought app is not connected with IMEI. It's connected only with your ovi account.
