how to read messages in symbian 3rd ed using flash lite????

can i open messages in flash lite for symbian 2nd or 3rd gen?
i read about nokia platform services that they only work on 5th gen.
this means that the application will work on a very small range of devices.
if anyone knows any way plz i need help.

Hi Muddaser,
I am sorry to say that you cannot read messages from pure Flash Lite in S60 2nd & 3rd edition phones but yes if u have good knowledge of any other language which provide access to inbox like Symbian C++ or Python etc then u can extend flash lite using either of these languages. What u have to do is to create a local http server in either of these languages that execute the queries sent by Flash Lite Client. For more info, take a look at some open-source projects :
1- Flyer (Python)
2- Janus Symbian (Symbian C++)
3- Intelliger FLS (Symbian C++)

Firstly, i would like to inform u that it is not possible to read messages in pure Flash Lite in 2nd or 3rd edition phones. Secondly, you left with the only one way i.e extending flash lite using any other language which is exposed to more platform services like Python, Symbian C++ etc. If u have some hold on either of these languages then u have to create a Local HTTP Server to extend Flash Lite but it needs good knowledge of either of these languages. For some ready made work, u can go through some open source projects like Flyer, Janus Engine, Intelligere FLS etc. Hope it helps u.
