S40, the TextField causes scorlling of input method, flicker

Hi,
I have a 6300 mobile and wrote a Midlet that included a TextField in it.
after launched the Midlet, it caused the input method scrolling, flicker...
I had tried, if I removed the TextField from the Form, it would not flicker.
How to solve this problem?

Try LWUIT demo on this device, if it works well - use LWUIT for your app;

I.e use LWUIT form with LWUIT TextField inplace of MIDP form & textfield.

Hello,
After I changed the code to use lwuit, it seems that the lwuit.TextField can not switch the input method to "PinYin"
that is a input method for Chinese.
I can press "T9" soft link to open a new window to edit text and switch input method to "PinYin", however,
the input methods still scroll and flicker when showing that window.

Anyway, Thanks for your help! I understand that it's not easy to get perfect !

This looks to be an Issue with the native implementation of MIDP TextBox, which is used by LWUIT also. So only option left with you is to develop your own custom Text Input Component using CustomItem or directly on Canvas.
