About Widget

Hi All,

Please help me.
I am a new bie in widget. I am confusing about widget. Some documents said that "a widget is a local HTML/CSS/JavaScript web application". So, an app which can run on mobile phone (android, blackberry, nokia, samsung, ...), uses widget. Can I?

Hi stingmartin,

as you correctly say, a widget is a mobile application, and is built by using Web technologies (HTML, CSS, JS). Other platforms also do support widgets, but most of times there are some differences in supported libraries/APIs (e.g.: Platform Services are only available on Nokia devices) or in involved programming language (e.g.: Android widgets).
