Error while commiting the code

Hi All,

I have tagged the code using follwing tag:

DEVELOPER_2_1_20AUG2010

now when i am trying to commit the code in the same tag I am getting the following error.

The server reported an error while performing the "cvs commit" command.

G1Live: cvs commit: sticky tag `DEVELOPER_2_1_20AUG2010' for file `src/com/g1live/client/j2me/Industry.java' is not a branch
G1Live: cvs [commit aborted]: correct above errors first!

can anyone tell me where the problem is in commiting the code.
