This new Symbian^3 Nokia device has support for memory cards?
You can check the specifications. Devices above, Device specifications.
Starting from today there are 4 Symbian^3 devices, so it is unclear which one you mean.
I mean the Nokia E7, the new Symbian^3 device anounced yesterday with slide qwerty keyboard. This phone has support for memory cards, or not?
From the specification, it says not. Anyways you can still try what Wizard has suggested. Once you select the E7-00 from the list, you may compare it with N8 and check it under "Memory Functions" subsection.

Just to add : You can use USB on the go feature and attach any USB drive to E7-00 and it will serve your purpose of "memory cards".

Symbian ^3 supports memory cards of course, but the nokia e7 does not have a memory card slot =.=
the nokia n8 however does have one hot swappable, up to 32 GB and it is using symbian ^3.
Well since theres otg usb feature theres no problem with the storage.
In my opinion the greatest minus is the the front camera.
There are so many open wifi spots in Europe and i use them with my N97 for skype videocalls.
It is 2010 and E7 has to be a swiss tool devide...
Nokia E7 is the communicator device for NOKIA after 9300 and 9500.
So, it is the best according to all feature.
I confirm the slot is missing , too bad the battery can not be replaced too
but the rest of the hardware is brilliant !
The alternative to change the sdcard would be to unscrew it , but it seems a bit risky ...

Hi,
I am new to this forum.
I am planning to purchase Nokia E7 from USA.
It says it is USA version, but unlocked.
Will I be able to use it in India?
Please guide me.
Thanks,
Prasanna
As far as I know you can purchase Nokia devices from any where and use it in any country. Except some special model which are in partnership with Mobile operator company.
That's because you're also on the wrong siteDespite site's name, it is not a forum, is Forum Nokia, a site focused on supporting software developers in their work with Nokia's software and hardware platforms. But no worries, we'll help you.
Shopping phones is really not that difficult. The difference between US and non-US phones is really all about the operational frequencies. Since the phone you plan to buy is unlocked and therefore you have no contract limitations, the only thing to look at is the technical specifications.
On nokiaus.com it says:
On nokia.co.in it says:Operating Frequency
GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900
WCDMA 850/900/1700/1900/2100
Automatic switching between WCDMA and GSM bands
Flight mode
Conclusion: the same product variant is sold in both countries, and it will work with all the operators which support at least one of those frequencies.Operating Frequency
GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900
WCDMA 850/900/1700/1900/2100
Automatic switching between WCDMA and GSM bands
Flight mode

I own the device Nokia E7, I am facing an issue.
While making the calls or receiving a call, the name of the person is not appearing, even though the same is there in contact list.
Request the help...
There are two possible reasons for the behaviour, if it only happens with specific people/numbers:
The same number has been assigned to more than one contact (check both the SIM card and the contacts in phone memory).
There is someone else with a number that is same for the last 7 digits, but different in the first digits (e.g., different area code, but otherwise same number).
In any case, use related support forums can, as has been stated earlier in this thread, be found on nokia.com/discussions rather than here (developer discussion forums).
