    Hello,

I have spent 2 months writing a cool application for the N900. The application is nearly ready and I was planning to publish it to OVI store whenI found this page:
    http://wiki.maemo.org/Ovi_Store_publishing
It says that commercial applications are not allowed on OVI store as of March 31, 2010.
I found nothing that said the same on nokia web sites, I even found documents on how to publish commercial apps.

    My questions is:
Are commercial applications for maemo 5 allowed or not?

    AFAIK, yes.

I havent had the time to polish my Qt apps for Maemo yet though, so this is speculative!

    Hello Agrech,

Thank you for writing in to Forum Nokia.

We would like to apologize for the confusion and have sent a message to the Maemo team in regards to this page. We would like to point out that the webpage has now been updated.

Commercial applications are allowed for the N900.

See the Maemo 5 Ovi store entry requirements for details:

(an important caveat: no QtMobility apps for Maemo5 *for the time being*)
