Hi,
I created a new "S60 GUI Application" and tried to compile it for "Emulator Debug" with the 3rd MR SDK. Everytime pearl.exe is invoked I get the error message "The process tried to write to a nonexistent pipe." but eventually the build fails with "This project does not support program "BUILD_HELP" for platform "WINSCW"".
I tried compiling with the SDKs for 3rd FP1 and 5th ed. These SDKs also show the error message "The process tried to write to a nonexistent pipe." when perl.exe is invoked. But they do not show the BUILD_HELP error and they also create an executable that I can start in the emulator.
I would like to get rid of the "nonexistent pipe" message or at least know where it comes from even though this doesn't seem to break the compilation process. And I would really like to know why I can't compile under the 3rd MR SDK. Would be cool if somebody here can help me. :-)
My system: Windows 7 Professional (all updates), Active State Perl 5.6.1, Symbian ADT1.4 / Carbide.C++ 2.6 (all updates), S60 3rd MR SDK, Java 6 RT, S60 3rd FP1 SDK, S60 5th SDK. All freshly installed...
Cya,
Robert.
