    Hi
I want to track usage of a user on cell phone ( apart from calls, messages) like media( last played song, number of times a video has been seen etc ).Is it possible?
Also is there any link which gives Nokia's or symbian's policy towards tracking user's activities.

    Thanks

I dont think you can track inside happenings of the applications other than yours for ex. Gallery in your case.

    Hi
I meant from a phone gallery.
Is it possible for my app to know the number of times a song has been listened to or a number of times a video has been seen?

How is location logs and app usage related?

You can have a watcher running in the background and monitor all the running process or application. And thereby maintain the logs yourself.

Also you might want to do extensive search at Symbian foundation sources, basically look for PS-keys, rather many application actually publishes its states via the RProperty. Though, the sources are indeed for Symbian^3 thus they might not work on older devices, as well as they are not part of public SDKs, thus no guarantee that they would work in any symbian^3 device either, but anyway, with some testing you could see what would be usefull and what would not.
