Nokia QT SDK 1.0 - Symbian support on Mac

I am attempting to setup a Qt dev environment on a mac and downloaded and installed the latest Nokia SDK. When I attempted to add a target for the Symbian platform the option does not exist. Any ideas what needs to be added to allow this to work? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Symbian toolchain is not supported officially on Liniux and Mac OS, that's why these targets do not exist in Nokia Qt SDK for the mentioned operation systems.

With that said you could actually develop the project with the SDK however to test on a real device you would need to Windows PC. Am I correct? Thanks for the information.

Could you please elaborate a bit more? Currently I have the remote compiler setup to compile the project for Symbian. Other than not being able to directly publish to a device what else can I not do?

I already replied in this thread what you cannot do on Linux and MacOS.

Yes and I appreciate the response however you have to understand my confusion based on what I read here http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...emote_Compiler . I cannot get a clear answer if this will provide me the tools I need to provide a finished product. In a nutshell is there anything that we will not be able to do using the Mac Beta QT SDK (Nokia) that we would otherwise be able to do on the windows counterpart, aside from compiling.

Yes, only building (compiling and linking) are affected.
