    Hi All,
We have application that needs to interact with 4 different servers, and each server has different IP address. Server IP addresses are hard coded in our application. So my query is whether we need to sign 4 different sis, each for different server, or can we submit only one sis for signing and ask Symbiansigned to waive off signing for other 3 sis files?

    Thanks in advance

    As per my understanding..
If you have made 4 SIS file for 4 different servers. In that case you will need to symbian signed each sis file separately . As such there is no procedure to waive off signing for other sis files.

Yep, you do need to sign each modified sis separately. Or implement a logic that allows you to determine the difference on run/installation time, in order to be able to have only one sis file that needs to be signed.

You can try negotiating it with the test house. However they still have to do complete testing for the different versions. Even if you move the IP addresses to some configuration file, and have exactly the same .exe in all packages, you can not prove easily that the IP address is really used as an IP address. "if (IP==123.456.789.ABC) format e:"

So the short answer is "no".

One thing not mentioned here yet, is that if you are targeting OVI Store, they sign it for free.

Then again, if you don't need capabilities outside "express signed" you can just sign the software yourself, which is about 10 euros per signing.
