I noticed that the default distribution includes all god-forsaken places on earth ( including North Korea ) *except* China & South Korea.

So I tried to publish my content to those places and got an answer back that 'currently it is not possible to publish games to South Korea' .

So what's so special about those two countries? Also in some other thread I remember reading that developers get insanely low share of the sale price in China ( something like 5%? )

It may have something to do with WLAN too.

And in North Korea they do? What are you talking about! It has to be some legal thing.

North Korea isn't a distribution channel so its irrelevant.
its because of the english issue... if you want to distribute in SK localize your content and then load it

as for the WLAN comment UH???? what does that have to do with anything?

China is simple: there is an extra intermediary in the game.

As for South Korea: I can remember from my dealings with another company which also does phones that they have a sickly strict game review board. No review from the board, no game sale. And apparently Nokia is not willing to play this game...

Maybe little of topic, but what does "language compatibility for distribution mean". All our programs texts are graphics typed in english, but we checked the "works for all languages" -checkbox. Was that right thing to do? We also checked the "can be distributed in any country and any operator" -checkbox.

    I found OviJude's answer (from 2009):

"1. If the content is in English or support English as one of the language, it can be distributed to global(any country)."

    is this answer still valid?

    IMHO yes!

But localization always makes sense, if just because local feature spaces are easier to get!
