HI friends ,

i am kumar sukhani. I am working on a project in which i want to convert text into speech in j2me for my nokia mobile 6303 classic

can anyone suggest api for that as i am very new to this j2me field???

Hi,

It's not currently possible to do text to speech in Java ME. As far as I know there is no phone that supports the necessary API (JSR 113). At least no Nokia phone does.

means jsr 113 provide text to speech conversion???

and

even nokia's smart phones does not support jsr113 api???

but in the nokia 5800 and some s60 mobile says the name of the caller when any1 cals

Yes, the phone's operating system might support TTS (text to speech) even though the Java ME environment does not. Unfortunately you cannot do TTS with Java ME right now.
