Are there any known issues with the N8 and its VoIP client?
i can make 2 way calls without a problem but i cannot here any incoming calls.
i feel i've tried everything. i've never had a problem with my n95 with sipgate before.
others on the nokia discussions board also are having the same problems.

Hi there, Rich_Enduro and welcome to the discussion boards!

It's already good that you pointed your question to the Nokia Support Discussion board, as this forum servers mainly for mobile development related issues.

There seems to be somewhat a solution, or workaround at the last message of the discussion chain. However, looks like there might be something to check with this, and I can do it next work day here locally. I will post an update within 24 hours for my part. Please do also follow the Nokia Discussions and also this thread for any possible additions.

Thank you for bringing this matter up.

    Best Regards,

    any news on this?
Maveric, when you said you'd raised a query, does this mean you found a fault or does it mean you just requested the team investigates if there is a wider fault?

    Hi,

Is it a known issue specific to N8 or Symbian v3? Are there any workarounds? Or is it specific to some routers/NAT type?

I have N8 behind wireless household router (cnet CQR-980 v1.0.5 if that matters) and I'm getting the same one-way audio (I can't hear) problem when I try to call out, no matter what I tried. X-Lite 3 just works [tm] behind the same router, Ekiga client works with network discovery (STUN) disabled. Yes I did tried 0.0.0.0 for STUN server address in Nokia VOIP settings but it doesn't make difference.

This seems to be common problem with all new Nokia devices, like E52, E55, E72, N97, N8, E7, C7, etc.
This is discussed in many threads and is related to "random" SIP URI - please see
    http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...594#post697594

There was no such problem with older phones like E51, E65, E66, E71, N95, etc.

N8, as well as all new models, is working fine with selected ITSPs (like Betamax ones) in any direction, despite of routers / firewalls. No incoming calls with most IP PBXs.
