    Hi All,

Can i access flash-lite 3.X app (.swf) file embedded in html page using phone web browser and communicate with the Flash Server?
Actually i do not want to install any application on flash enabled phone to access the Flash Server.
Is it possible for phones having support for Flash Lite 3.x?

    Thanks

I gather you have a web based flash lite application fetching content from a remote server right?

Flash lite 1, 2, 3 and even 4 are stand alone players and not browser plugins. I have tested embedded SWFs on the N97 and surfed through websites published for flash player 8 on N97 and Omnia HD though. The performance however is very different from flash lite applications running on the stand alone player. Guess you will have to experiment.

However you can always build a web based flash lite application and distribute it as SIS or WGZ - in fact I'd suggest that avenue instead of embedding SWFs in HTML. Navigate to www.m.alcovekenya.com with your mobile browser and download the web based application for a demonstration of what I'm saying, it's done in Flash Lite 3 and distributed as SISX.

Alternatively you could always distribute your application as a SWF file to avoid installation.

    Regards
