Yesterday I received an email from donotreply@ovi.com

    Dear Publisher,
Thank you for submitting Generator Variante Loto. Unfortunately the content item and or file did not pass the Ovi Store quality assurance (QA) review process.

With some details about the problems.

So my app had some bugs. Not something important, just some little things.

Although I didn’t modify anything after 3 hours I received another email

    Dear Dutu Andrei
Ovi Store has been updated with the application or Media your submitted Generator Variante Loto. It should be visible in Ovi Store within the next few hours.

And yes, the app is now live on OVI Store http://store.ovi.com/content/66448

I downloaded it with my N97 but it doesn’t work.

Isn’t it ironic? And very strange ?

Confirmed, I tried to install your app. It loads ok, but when installing it fails (Nokia C6-00)... Mail to Nokia about (it you already didn't).

Already did that. Waiting for a reply now.

The fact is that the app runs ok. I testet it in the QT simulator and on the Nokia Forum Remote Device Access(on several phones including a N97). The problem is with the signing of the app i think.

When installing it gives this regular "app is not trusted and app can harm your phone" and after you select continue it says "a non trusted publishers app can not be installed" (not exact messages since my native laguage is not english). So a believe that you are right, the problem is with the signing...

Looks like they don’t test the app after publishing to OVI Store. To see if works on a usual phone.

A couple o houra ago I finaly received an email from nokia

    Dear Publisher,
The content item Generator Variante Loto and all its associated content files have been unpublished. They will no longer be visible to end users on Ovi Store.

If Nokia initiated the unpublishing, you will receive message in the content file comment box or an email. https://publish.ovi.com/content_items/show/66448.

Common reasons for Nokia to unpublish content include:
    - Content that was submitted was in violation of the content guidelines as specified in the Terms and Conditions.

    - Continuous issues with the content submitted, such as it not working as specified or there have been excessive care requests.

    - We have received notice of potential Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) infringements with regards to the content you have submitted.

And they unpliblished my app. Which is a good thing

After login to my account I discovered the following message

We will be unpublishing your content from Ovi Store for the following reason(s):

    The application isn't correctly signed.

But I followed all the steps from here: http://blogs.forum.nokia.com/blog/ov.../qt-content-qa

    So the tutorial is wrong?

Or the guys from Nokia don’t know what their are doing?

And how come they discovered that my app isn’t signed just after publishing it to OVI? They didn’t test it at all?

I’m guessing that due to the QA backlog OVI have either taken on a lot of new inexperienced staff to help out or the existing team are under so much pressure they’re making stupid mistakes. We’ve had a similar issue; I updated the distribution list for our game Azzurri Penalty to include the latest devices and did nothing to the sis file. Eventually OVI put our updated distribution list onto the store and within 12 hours of doing so we got 4 reviews saying that it didn’t install due to a certificate error and when I tried I also noticed it wasn’t installing. I realised that OVI must have resigned the file when they updated the distribution list (we’re using Nokia’s free signing) so I e-mailed publisher support. They said they’d look into it and today I get an e-mail saying that our game failed QA (one issue it failed is fair enough, as we linked to one of our other OVI apps which got removed from the store by Nokia a few days ago due to an inappropriate ad getting through Inneractive’s filtering system. The other three issues are things that nobody had a problem with the other times the game went through QA) I’ve now had to unpublished it myself and will no doubt have to miss out on a month of downloads due to OVI’s incompetence.
