    Hi every one
    I am very beginner to symbian c++ and carbide c++ IDE, I want to know how to use button and to access in coding. i need to do if i press the button i want to get a window pop up and show message . so pleas to help me to access the button.

    Hi,

    Which SDK are you using? you can find helloworld example from the sdk and if you are using qt then it will be very easy to make a button.

    Thank you for the reply, My SDK is S60 5th edition symbian os, then i didn't use Qt i was using only carbide c++ IDE and symbian c++

    you can put up a custom image(which is a button) in the view & capture the pointer event on that image.

    Did you try opening the .uidesign file? You can use the graphical GUI editor to add a button. Then right click it to see its events.
