    I installed Qt Creator 2.0.1 based on Qt 4.7.0. I already connected my Nokia N8 device with the USB cable and run the App TRK version 3.20(7) on the device. App TRK shows the following messages:

    Welcome to TRK for Symbian OS
    Status: Connected
    Connection: USB
    Port: 1

    But Qt Creator could not detect the device and shows the disconnected device icon and BTW I can not deploy nor debug apps on the device? have anyone solution to this problem???

    I am using windows 7 Ultimate on MacBook Pro.

    I think you do need to have Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver installed. Easiest way to get it would be to install the nokia suite.

    My Qt Creator 2.0.1 (built on September 9 2010) does not detect the device.

    However Nokia OVI suite is detecting it.

    How can I troubleshout the remaining connectivity issue?

    Thx

    I had the same problem just a few days ago. If I remember it right, first connect your N8 to the computer, and open the OVI Suite. Thereafter you should click the StartMenu (the ordinary start menu, down left in your screen..) and find

    1. Start->All Programs->Nokia Qt SDK->Symbian->Install Qt to Symbian Device. (The phone probably already have this one installed. If it won't install, skip it.)

    2. Start->All Programs->Nokia Qt SDK->Symbian->Install TRK to Symbian Device->TRK Symbian^3

    After that I encountered a problem while trying to debug my app on the phone, getting en error with some "MakeFile" missing. That was fixed by (in the Qt Creator) pressing

    Build->Run qmake

    which apparently made a Makefile for my project.

    Good Luck!

    I did uninstall Nokia PC Suite and Nokia Ovi Suite (2.2.....), reboot my computer, and reinstall a fresh 3.0.0.284 Ovi suite.

    After that Qt Creator seems detecting my N8 device.

    Finally device debugging looks to be ok.

    It may be that all you needed to do was to tell Ovi to update itself.
