    Hello,

    I've got S60 3rd Edition FP2 SDK v1.1 & there are a few questions I'd like to ask

    1) How can I connect the emulator to PC?
    2) How can I flash emulator?
    3) How can I get rid of "requested application access not granted"
    3) How can I install rom patcher there so there are no more annoying certificate errors?

    1) it is connected already
    2) you can not, the emulator is a Windows-build of the Symbian codes, running Windows-builds of your applications. So it is not processor-level emulation (like QEMU)
    3) learn about platform security and signing (http://www.symbiansigned.com, but you can also find stuff in the SDK and the Wiki - Community panel in the top-right region)
    4) cracking Nokia devices is not to be discussed on official Nokia sites...

    1) I mean what do I need to do to connect the emulator to Nokia PC suit?
    2), 3) - thank you )))
    4) Rom Patcher can be used for cracking similar to that a hammer can be used for murdering people but it doesn't mean that you should make a hammer an outlaw instrument. That depends on the purpose of usage. I personally use Rom Patcher so that to get ability to install apps that for example are meant for other devices (i.e. lots of s50v5 apps work perfectly well on s60v3 platforms but they simply can not be installed), not to crack apps or use them illegally. You don't need Rom Patcher for that - one can search for cracked apps or for keygens & they will do the trick. Rom Patcher gives you full access to C drive it can give you a more diverse policy system with java apps for example. It's something similar to windows tweaks, gives you possibility to fine tuning. Or i.e. language tuning. I've got 8 different languages in my Nokia. I need 2 of them - Rom Patcher enables you to cut them off & gives extra volume in my device.

    1) no, I meant network connection. PC Suite does not support the emulator
    4) you can find similar discussions on this site. In short: Nokia does not support modding (with the exception of the Maemo devices), that is why it is not to be discussed here. Intents and reasons do not count, as neither you or me can change this policy. We simply respect it. Check non-Nokia sites, like AllAboutSymbian or Symbian-Freak.
