Expect a huge number of threads like http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...IA-Cell-Phones or http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...kia-5800-maemo
Raviksoni is a more or less old contributor here, and he already started it in the About thread... http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...out-this-Forum

    thanks Wiz,

We need to be vigilant but we also need the discussion board.

Possibly this will move to a small groups area and managed by someone with more Symbian Kernel experience.

    Hi wizard_hu_,

Plz be clear as I not getting what you want to say,
Did I asked wrong question or did I ask it in a wrong thread or I was not eligible to ask that as being a fresher ?

Hi Ravi Soni, I hope you do not feel insulted, I did not mean that.
Just it is a fact that Nokia does not support "modding" its devices, including modifying the OS version or completely replacing it with a different OS. You are a regular visitor of these boards, and your first thought was that Nokia perhaps started supporting these kind of activities. However it actually does not, and there are not any signs suggesting that. This is why this board is badly positioned in the middle of the 3rd-party software developer boards, since other people will also think the same. You were the first one, that is all.

This board moved here because the Symbian Foundation website closed. I expect it will find a more appropriate home when Nokia has figured out how they will handle open source Symbian going forward.

Personally I'm glad there's still somewhere for the low-level Symbian developers to communicate and to be honest, we used to attract a lot of that sort of question when it was on the Symbian Foundation site too!

Mark is Right, because of the rapid end ot Symbian we needed to start something.

I think this will eventually be moved to a Project instead of a discussion board.
