Nokia 5130 Xpress Music network problem

Hi there,

Sorry if I'm posting this to wrong section. If so, please move topic.

I'm using Nokia 5130 Xpress music for 3 months. At start everything was good, now it loses network in few days maybe once, and when I restart mobile (turn off and turn on) network comes again and works fine. This makes me crazy. Also if I try select network manualy it can't find it also.

In search, I've found that rebooting, maybe, will be useful (to turn off and remove battery for 30 secs). But my question is. If I do that, will I lose my SMS messages?

Everything other works fine, that's only problem.

Can anything be sorted here?

Hi Friend,

There may be two things....1) may be Problem in TE i.e technical equipment that's why you loose network signal.... 2) may be problem in your phone firmware. you will need to consultant once with nokia care center for resolving this issue.

I'm not having any specific key words, anyway, you could always post a new thread on that forum and see whether somebody comes up with nice answers.

Thanks, I think I get problem on these very cold days when I'm outside, and I think if I'm at home there's no problem in my house.
I had similar problem with old phone sony ericsson on cold days. It wont react on any keys on keyboard.

Can that couse problem maybe?

I would not know the cold effect, its never really too much under +20 here, so having no experience with using devices in cold situations lately.
