N8 restarting

Hello everyone,
Need your help. I have baught a new Nokia N8 in the month of November 2010. The phone is restarting by itself. This happens very often when using GPRS or Edge Internet on phone. Also when ideal the phone restarts. I have read in the news that some of the N8 models suffers from manufacturing deffect which is phone restarting by itself because of Battery issue. Please guide me so that I can get the replacement for the same. Thanking you all in advance and wish you all a very happy new year.

can u plz tell me how to differentiate where service provider is supporting GPRS or EDGE in a particular BTS, is it any AT commands are there.?

hello. i need help. my n8 restarts by itself too. often times it turns to white screen first then suddenly restarts. waht can you advice? my friends said reprogramming is best but i am not so sure about it. please let me know thanks.

I had my n8 a month ago...after few days when ı was using especiallu wifi my n8 restarts . I went to service...They said this is a software problem...a week later they gave me my n8..At the same night ı had the same problems again..and second time my n8 is at the service. ı paid the money but ı cant use it yet..And when ı read the forums on the web now how can ı respect n8 from now on...I need an advice about this...

If indeed there is a SW problem, try the new firmware release, the PR 1.1.
If that does not fix it, look for some other possible issues, like 3rd party apps you have installed, and while posting in the discussion board recommended by wizard_hu_ at #5 make sure to include the stepts required to reproduce the problem. I've never seen any N8 reboots, so the context in which you're using it (e.g. WLAN's security type or the application(s) using the WLAN at the time) may be more important than the fact that you have taken the phone to service.
