I am trying to get a complete list of countries which use Unicode for SMS and which Nokia phones have Unicode support. I've really searched the web so any help would be much appreciated. We are about to provide full Unicode support for our bulk SMS service so this is pretty vital info for us Thanks john

There's really no way we have time to research this for you, but I would seriously doubt that any country where you can get by using the set of ISO-8859-1 characters will be using anything other than the default 7-bit GSM alphabet.

As to which Nokia phones have Unicode support - that's another tall order. Most of the "newer" Nokia phones should support Unicode character reception in SMSs, but as to whether or not the phone will be able to display the received character - that is dependent on the language capabilities of the software package installed on the phone.
