how to invoke camera for a mobile appli .. plz help me

Hi,
I am developing a mobile application that uses images captures by the mobile camera.....
I need to dynamically take image and use it in my application.....
so i require the coding to invoke camera in any mobile phone...... and capture and process the image....
this is my college proj....so plz guide me

You can find sample code for taking photos here, in the wiki. Search the wiki, and you will find lots of useful information.

Not sure what you mean by "process the image", but there is some code that demontrates processing an image pixel-by-pixel in this thread.

I notice you've also posted this over in the Symbian C++ section... do you want to use Java or C++ for your project?

I am using J2ME for the project...... so i need to take a snapshot and use the image taken to convert to grayscale..... i have done the coding for grayscale in J2ME... by simply using static image..... but i have to take the image and process it simultaneously and display result.... so i asked help on how to invoke camera for my mobile application
