    Hi,
You need to have key and certificate pair from symbian signed and also you have to add right capabilities in your mmp file.

No, you do not need a Symbian signed certificate for signing Java apps!

    Information about signing starts here.

Signing for Java apps is complicated: read everything you can find before you spend any money!! Note that signing will cost you upwards of $200.

Signing might not achieve what you want. It will not automatically select "always allow", and might not automatically select "ask once". It depends on the device.

Signing will prevent your application from installing on some devices. If you sign with a Verisign key, your application will only install on devices with a Verisign root certificate. Other devices will refuse to install your application.

Signing is best avoided, unless you really, really need it.

    Graham.
