We are developing a web-based application that is supporting the Nokia E-Series and N-Series devices. On the Nokia E-Series, the web browser does not display the TITLE attribute set for an IMG when the mouse cursor hovers over it. We are using this functionality as a sort of "tool tip" for devices that do support it. Can someone please confirm that this is the case?

    Any input would be appreciated.

    Hello Melanie,

    Welcome to the forum!
Could you elaborate in which E-series device(s) you are experiencing this issue?

It has been specifically noted on the Nokia E-72 and also on the simulator for the S60 Developer Tools.

I can confirm your findings. It seems that title-attribute is not supported at all. I tested this with 7.0, 7.1 and 7.2 browsers. I would suggest to explore alternative ways to show the tool tip whit javascirp/css.

    Ps.
Instead of simulator you might want to test with remote device access as well to get more accurate results.

I agree. Unfortunately, our firewall here at Bank of America prohibits us from using the remote device access. I have already checked with my Manager to see if we could get an exception to this.
